Outward Bound organisation is a Peacebuilding And non-profit, 501(c)3 approved organization and a member of the Global Outward Bound network. The largest and most successful experience- based outdoor leadership organization in the world, Outward Bound was founded 1941 by late Dr Kurt Hahn a Germany to provide active learning expeditions that inspire character development and leadership. The Outward Bound community now consists of more than 40 centers operating in over 35 countries today.
While MAN O' WAR was founded in the year 1951 as a product of the outward bound organization in Victoria southern Cameroon by late Sir Alec Dickson a briton that naturalized in Cameroon
MAN O' WAR was founded in Nigeria at the month of august 1960 in kura fall, Jos and it was later carried to shere hill, Jos which is also known as the man o' war bay training centre. The man o' war bay training centre was later change to the leadership and citizenship training centre.

Man O' War Bay is located on the eastern end of Waiheke and is one of the few eastern end beaches accessible to the public by road. From here a walking track leads up to the historic site at Stony Batter. History Captain Cook named Man O’ War Bay after dropping anchor there on his 1769 voyage. He observed that the kauri trees growing there would make ideal masts for the Man O’ War sail powered wooden battleships which formed the backbone of British naval supremacy for more than two centuries. Timber from Man O’ War Bay is rumoured to have been used as masts for Nelson’s triumphant fleet in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Thomas Maxwell built a timber and boat building station at the bay in 1836.
